As I took foundational counseling courses in my graduate training, I became enthralled with an intro to testing and assessment class, which laid out how personality is measured, how psychopathology is quantified, how strengths are objectively identified. This led to me to transfer into a doctoral program in clinical psychology to specifically pursue a career in assessment. The rest is history. Neuropsych assessment has been my passion and niche for many years and I take great enjoyment in being able to truly understand an individual thoroughly, strengths, weaknesses and all, in order to be able to translate this to client’s, parent’s and all interested parties.

Accepting New Clients! I am passionate about working with children and their families to collaborate together to make a strong impact to promote healing and improve family functioning. I work with children of all ages who may experience difficult situations or experiences in their lives such as adoption, ADHD, anxiety, Autism, emotional and behavioral issues, school disruption, and trauma. I specialize in using play therapy to help children learn to self-regulate, improve executive functioning, increase self-esteem, deal with trauma, increase social skills, and develop positive relationships.

I am currently pursuing certification in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT). I use several different treatment modalities to create a safe and trusting environment for my clients to explore their potential for growth and positive self-expression.

Finding the right therapist for your child can be challenging. I have worked with children in many different capacities throughout the years including schools, community mental health, hospital, foster care, adoptions, and private practice. “As a mother of a child with ADHD and Autism, I have a unique approach to my work that combines professional knowledge and personal experience. I know first hand how a family member with emotional or learning differences can affect their parents, siblings, and significant others. Through psychological assessment I am able to get an accurate profile of an individual’s unique strengths and weaknesses and help my clients and their families identify and locate the services and resources they need. I strive to bring that same level of support to my therapy clients through an empathic, positive, and fun approach. I love being a psychologist and I believe in the work that I do!”
